The Senior e-Marketing Specialist leads the Marketing Department in execution of e-marketing projects. The responsibilities will include contributions to service marketing, corporate communications, and marketing operations.

Position Summary:
The Senior e-Marketing Specialist leads the Marketing Department in execution of e-marketing projects. The responsibilities will include contributions to service marketing, corporate communications, and marketing operations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Marketing Automation Systems Template Development & Administration – 25% of time

  • Lead and oversee development of standardized Marketo templates and buttons that can be used for sales, marketing and service delivery emails
  • Implement and oversee implementation of email campaigns and manage the day-to-day activities including:
  • Load approved images and files into Marketo for use in marketing communications
  • Design and proof emails in Marketo using approved copy and existing templates
  • Program campaign lists and flow in Marketo
  • Program lead scoring and lead nurturing campaigns in Marketo as defined by content marketing manager
  • Use target client profile developed by others to identify individual prospects for campaign list selection
  • Ensure that HSG website, salesforce.com and Marketo are in sync-so that campaign responses can be captured and communicated
  • Select and manage vendors/agencies to support implementation of email campaigns
  • Independently provide reporting of results and metrics related to email marketing campaigns
    • Determine measurement requirements and build reports needed in advance of campaign implementation
    • Combine/structure/organize response data to support decision making and identify patterns through analysis of response
  • Evaluate and implement solutions that can streamline and optimize marketing automation processes, measurement and reporting
  • Proactively identify and apply best practices of e-marketing to optimize email response rates (opens and clicks)
  • Serve as Marketo administrator
    • Develop and maintains system for organizing Marketo resources/emails in a way that can be accessed easily by others
    • Act as a liaison between marketing and salesforce.com administrators to ensure that salesforce.com page layouts, reports and dashboard meet marketing user needs
    • Support Marketo integration with Clicktools for client satisfaction and ON24 for Webinars
    • Serve as liaison between HSG and Marketo account team/customer support for technical support issues that may arise
    • Assign licenses to new users as approved by marketing director
    • Ensure new users receive appropriate training from Marketo as needed
    • Maintain current knowledge on marketing automation capabilities available through the system and best practices for using the system

Maintain and build prospects list to meet service marketing needs – 10% of time

  • Ensure that database/ prospect lists include representation of companies and titles to meet the needs defined in the marketing plan
  • Implement annual quality assessment process to review contact/prospects across the database and fill in gaps
  • Identify and evaluate sources for prospect list augmentation
  • Prepare and present quarterly report of status of prospect list coverage vs. needs identified in the marketing plan to the department
  • Oversee review and research of “bouncebacks” from marketing communications and ensure that contact record in salesforce.com is updated as appropriate
  • Oversee database segmentation using target client profiles (personas) provided by marketing leadership assign prospects to the appropriate segment using fields in salesforce.com/Marketo

Manage e-Marketing Projects – 20% of time

  • Manage budgets, timelines and external agencies for assigned e-marketing projects
  • Oversee development of landing pages, microsites, and new web pages as assigned by marketing director
  • Manage external site sponsorships, social media postings and banner ads as directed by marketing director

Manage HSG website – 30% of time

  • Review website content regularly to ensure copy is correct and current; Post updates via Drupal Content Management SystemAnnually assess website in terms of actual performance vs. marketing goals and develop roadmap of prioritized enhancements based on approved budget and previously defined goals
  • Monitor website budget and communicates potential overages
  • Proactively identify and apply best practices of Website marketing to optimize client and prospect engagement on the Website; Identify and implement strategies to increase leads coming in from the website for hand-off to sales
  • Act as a liaison between marketing, salesforce.com administrators and website vendor to ensure integration between HSG systems; Support website integration with Clicktools for client satisfaction and ON24 for Webinars
  • Serve as liaison between HSG and Web hosting and design account teams/customer support for technical support issues that may arise
  • Serve as back up for setting up unique client logins for our website
  • Serve as back up for checking incoming emails from HSG website, triaging client requests that come in from the website
  • Monitor traffic and run utilization reports for marketing
  • Report any new pages or content to sales

Develop Internal and External e-Marketing Communications: (15% of time)

  • Develops internal and external email communications
  • Edit and format approved market messages/copy for use in e- campaigns including emails, landing pages, banner ads and social media posts
  • Proofs externally written email communications for clarity, grammar , accuracy and logical flow

Skills and Abilities Requirements:

  • Must be extremely detail orientated
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent copy editing/proofreading skills
  • Strong conceptual, analytic and problem solving skills
  • Strong technical skills- proficiency in working with marketing automation and CRM tools
  • Ability to manage data and run reports from databases
  • Strong project management skills
  • Must have ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be a team player and be able to effectively interact cross-functionally with staff at all levels of the company
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Two years experience in e-marketing
  • BA/BS Degree in marketing or related field
  • Working knowledge of html preferred
  • Working knowledge of Drupal preferred
  • Experience with CRM software and marketing automation software required
  • Experience with salesforce.com and Marketo preferred
  • Experience with Drupal website content management system preferred
